Overview
Changing Where Presets Are Stored. You don't need to store all of your presets in the default folder(s). You can create custom folders of presets for different projects, archive presets, etc. To change the folder that Ozone looks to for presets, click the Change Folder button and browse to the folder that contains the presets you want to use. Authorization
The first time you open the Ozone 9 Elements plug-in, the Authorization window will appear.The Authorization window allows you to:
- TRIAL: Start or continue a Trial period evaluation prior to purchasing.
- DEMO: Continue evaluating the product with Demo limitations (after the 10 day Trial period ends).
- AUTHORIZE: Authorize the product with a serial number.
Trial Mode
Trial mode allows you to evaluate Ozone 9 Elements over a 10 day trial period. The trial period begins whenyou first open the Ozone 9 Elements plug-in in a DAW/NLE. The Authorization window will display the number of daysremaining in your trial period. Click the Continue button to exit the Authorization window.
Demo Mode
After your 10 day trial period expires, you have the option to operate Ozone 9 Elements in Demo mode. Tocontinue evaluating Ozone 9 Elements in demo mode, click the Demo button.
Demo Mode Limitations
Ozone 9 Elements will periodically output silence when operating in demo mode.
Authorization Methods
To disable Trial or Demo modes, you must authorize the product with a valid serial number. There are threeauthorization methods for Ozone 9 Elements:
- Online Authorization: Authorize on a computer online.
- Offline Authorization: Authorize on a computer offline.
- iLok Authorization: Authorize using iLok.

Navigating the Interface
The Ozone 9 Elements interface is divided into four main areas: the global header, the signal chain, themodule interface, and the I/O panel.

Workflow Suggestions
There are a number of different ways to approach working with Ozone 9. We’ve included some workflowsuggestions you can use if you aren’t sure where to start. These workflows are merely suggestions and anyworkflow is valid if it works for you.
Using Presets
Ozone 9 includes a built in preset manager with a wide variety of factory presets to get you started. Start bylistening through several of Ozone’s presets. The presets contain helpful descriptions based on the outcomethey will produce on your audio. Alternatively, you can start with a genre-based mastering preset, or simplyuse the general-purpose mastering presets. When you’ve found one that fits your project, you can starttweaking that preset to achieve your mastering goals.

Live's file recovery process is usually triggered by an undo file in Live's preferences folder. In case that doesn't happen automatically, or you click 'No' on the restore document dialog, then the relevant files needed to recover the set are moved in a folder named 'Crash' located in Live's preferences folder. Those files/folders are. Where to find Crash Reports. Live Versions: 8 - 10; Operating System: All; A Crash Report is a file archive created when launching Live the next time after a crash. It contains system crash logs, information about your setup and a log of what Live has done since it was last opened. Crash reports can be accessed even if Live doesn't launch anymore. Module Presets in the Ozone Plug-in
Ozone Elements includes a global preset manager and a module preset manager. You can load presets thatapply to a single module by clicking the Preset button in the module’s Signal Chain selector. For moreinformation on this feature, see the Signal Chain chapter.
Using the Master Assistant Feature
Ozone 9 Elements offers intelligent assistive features aimed at helping you find a starting point for your Masteringworkflow. You can access the Master Assistant feature by inserting Ozone 9 on your master bus.
